There are three different bouquets of offerings —comprehensive, sober, and freestyle— from which you can choose one array to perform —depending on your life circumstances and your advancement in the interior life—. Each array has a particular recommendation at the bottom to exhort you and help you discern better which one to select.
Behold the three bouquet options with their particular spiritual exercises:
COMPREHENSIVE ARRAY
Daily Mass and weekly confession.
Praying daily from the Divine Office: matins, lauds, vespers, and compline (also called «office of readings», «morning prayer», «evening prayer», and «night prayer», respectively).
Daily hour of Eucharistic adoration (with or without Jesus exposed, though preferably exposed).
Daily rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet.
Doing a no-snack, three-meal only food regime everyday.
Abstinence (Daily, except on festivities: no sweets, no drink other than water, and add nothing to prepared food; Friday: all but bread and water; Wednesday: meat).
Fasting on bread and water on Fridays and having a collation meal for breakfast on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Sleeping on the floor every night.
Not shaving nor using deodorant (but washing well daily! 😁) in reparation for sins of vanity and the flesh.
Abstaining from any worldly entertainment and, instead, watching, listening, or reading holy materials focused on chastity and purity (for example, on the Theology of the Body) or the young patron saints of these days (for example, watching St. Maria Goretti's film).
This array is recommended for any faithful who is a clergy or consecrated person, any member of the laity dedicated to God by profession or service, or any committed Catholic who has already advanced in the spiritual life.
SOBER ARRAY
Committing to do numbers 5, 6, and 8 above (from the comprehensive array list).
Committing to do any two additional spiritual exercises freely chosen from items 1-4, 7, and 9 above (from the comprehensive array list).
If you feel interiorly moved, and it will not be too burdensome to your current obligations in life, you can add to the two previously chosen spiritual exercises any additional exercises from the comprehensive list.
If unable to fully commit to item 10 above (from the comprehensive array list), at least commit to live its purpose as much as you can.
This array is recommended for any faithful Catholic who is serious in his personal pursuit of holiness and wants to advance further in the spiritual life and union with God.
FREESTYLE ARRAY
If you know in advance you're unable to do the comprehensive or sober arrays, only commit to do those items you can as well as all your daily works with this intention. Anything offered to God with a good heart, through the hands of Mary, attains invaluable effects of grace in souls!
This array is recommended for anyone who loves God and neighbor and is deeply concerned for the salvation of souls among the many current godless storms that devastate our modern society, particularly young people.
